A relaxing few of days have been spent hanging out at the beach. Rishikesh has a backpacker scene that is really quite huge. We have made so many friends from so many different places; namely Australia, England, and Israel. The last few days have been blazing hot and the Ganga river has been a lovely refresher during the sunniest times of the day.

We finally switched from our hotel to a hostel called Travel Dreams, the staff is young and very friendly. We have a beautiful rooftop patio and above all an easy laundry service!
Plans are afoot for our trek, we leave in two days and we have some surprises in store for you. Tomorrow we’re off to buy gloves and hats. The trek will take us eight days in total, but we are doing several small treks in a row all based out of the town Joshimath. Our highest elevation will be 4400 meters.
Tomorrow will be my last post before the trek, I’m not sure the internet is so good in the Himalayas.
Oh my – wishing you the besttess hike – so cool the roof top and laundry – thinking of you all, every day – looking forward to posts after your wonderful adventure – one of many I am sure … be happy, be safe – from mama Cook
